SERDANG - On November 24-25, 2023 at the Seminar Room of the Pusat Pengimejan Diagnostik Nuklear (PPDN) and the FPSK Library Auditorium, the PPDN Management held the PET/CT Course Program 2023. This PET/CT Course Program is a PPDN program that is held dually annual and was last held physically in 2019. According to records, this program has been held 4 times before and was last held in 2021 online following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Among the objectives of this program are:
a) To train Master of Radiology candidates, Radiologists in the field of molecular imaging, especially PET/CT which includes cancer, cardiac, neurological and infectious disease imaging topics.

b) To provide knowledge to officers from support groups such as X-ray Technologists, Physical Science Officers (Medical) in the field of Diagnostic Imaging Integrate.

Among the facilitators who participated in sharing knowledge and experience in their respective fields of expertise were Dato' Prof. Emeritus Dr. Abdul Jalil Nordin (CEO PPDN Industry), Prof. Dr. Fathinul Fikri Ahmad Saad (Director of PPDN), Dr. Hazeman Zakaria, Prof. Associate Professor Dr Subapriya Suppiah, PPDN Research Officer, PPDN Science Officer and PPDN Industry Partner Representative from Siemens Healthcare Sdn. Bhd and United Imaging Healthcare (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.

Hopefully the program carried out can increase the contribution and develop the functions and expertise of PPDN to the officers, communities and students involved.
