What are services in PPDN?

PPDN has the clinical services of PET-CT examination, CT scan examination, ultrasound scan and MRI 3-Tesla examination.

What methods of payment can be made for the payment of this center?

This centre accept payment by online banking only

Is the employer's guarantee letter (GL) accepted to get services at PPDN?

Only employer guarantee letters from the National Sports Institute (ISN), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Golden Horses Health Screening Center (GHHSS) are accepted here.

What is 18F-FDG?

18F-FDG is a radiopharmaceutical used in the medical imaging modality positron emission tomography (PET). This radiopharmaceutical is known as analog sugar and will be injected to patient body to proceed the PET imaging diagnosis.   { Click Here for more details about 18F-FDG }

How long the period of PET-CT examination?

For rest phase (45 minutes), Scan phase (30 minutes to 1 hour), Separation phase (45 minutes). Overall examination time: 2 hours to 2h 30mins.

How long is the MRI examination?

30 minutes to 2 hours; depending on the type of examination carried out


Precaution Steps

What are precaution steps must be taken by family’s patient after the examination of PET-CT?

These precaution steps apply for 1 day (After examination) only, to ensure the fully decay of 18F-FDG in the patient’ body. a)Keep distance for at least 1 meter apart. b)Prevent children to close the patient. c)Keep remind patient to drink plenty of plain water. d)Separate the toilets for patient and family (if there are more than 1 toilet) e)Separate the room for patient and family.

What are the advantages of this center compared with the other centers / hospitals that offer such services?

PPDN promises an examination date within less than 14 days from the day the examination form is received and the patient report at a faster rate which is no later than 10 working days after the examination day.
