21 January 2026 – The Nuclear Diagnostic Imaging Centre (PPDN) welcomed a visit from Bachelor of Science (Physics) students of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), aimed at providing exposure and a clearer understanding of the application of physics in medical imaging and nuclear medicine.
The visit was organised to enhance students’ understanding of the role and importance of physics in supporting the use of modern diagnostic imaging technologies within a clinical setting.

During the visit, the students were divided into three groups, allowing them to observe firsthand the operational procedures of the Hot Lab, as well as the functioning of advanced imaging systems such as PET-CT and MRI.
It is hoped that this visit enriched the students’ knowledge and provided early exposure to real clinical working environments and practices, while also inspiring them in planning their future career pathways.
