PPDN'S 2023 OPEN DAY

SERDANG, March 15 – The Nuclear Diagnostic Imaging Center (PPDN), Universiti Putra Malaysia introduces quality diagnostic imaging clinical services to staff and the local community.

UPM Vice Chancellor, Dato' Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman said, through the existing expertise and infrastructure at UPM, he is confident that various work programs with the industry can be carried out.

"This is in line with the university's desire to show the university's strength as Menara Imu and in line with the UPM Strategic Plan 2021-2025 which is Goal 2 to Create a Research and Innovation Hub That Generates Value Based on a Sustainable Ecosystem," he said at the 2023 PPDN Open Day Program here.

Director of PPDN UPM, Prof. Dr. Fathinul Fikri Ahmad Saad said, PPDN is committed to becoming a highly reputable Nuclear Diagnostic Imaging Center and a one-stop center for diagnostic imaging.

"PPDN's focus is on medicine, especially in the scope of research, teaching as well as offering high quality imaging services and now collaborating with external agencies in promoting health screening," he said.

In addition, PPDN UPM has launched a Health Screening Program Package in collaboration with Zahran MegaKlinik Group and Advanx Health which provides a more comprehensive and complete health check-up for patients in particular.
TikTok influencer @drwanshare, Dr. Muhamad Hazwan Nazri said the diagnostic imaging services provided at PPDN are high-tech and conducive and offer reasonable prices.

"Initially while getting services here, I did not expect PPDN UPM to have services with the use of high-tech equipment such as MRI machines, PET CT machines and Ultrasound machines," he said.

Year 1 student, Bachelor of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FPSK), UPM, Nurul Ain Nabila Mohmad Sallih said she was happy to attend today's program and learned a lot of new knowledge.

"I previously did not know about PPDN UPM and when I attended this program I took the opportunity to find out about the clinical services offered here for students," he said. His friend Nur Alisya Mohammad Yusof said he was excited about the facilities provided at PPDN UPM.

"As a UPM student I am proud because the university has facility services that can be used not only by students but also by the community and as a student I feel lucky with the medical technology available at the university," he said.

Meanwhile, PPDN UPM is a one-stop center for diagnostic imaging in medicine, especially in the scope of research, teaching outside UPM and especially in UPM.
